Exploring Ontario
Ontario is home to some of Canada’s most beautiful natural landscapes, and the areas around Lake Huron, Lake Superior, and Central Ontario are no exception. From towering cliffs and rugged coastlines to serene forests and pristine lakes, this region offers a wealth of outdoor experiences for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
Lake Huron
Lake Huron, located on the eastern shore of Michigan and the western shore of Ontario. And is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. With more than 3,800 miles of shoreline, this vast body of water provides ample opportunities for exploring nature. In addition to its water-based activities, the area surrounding Lake Huron is home to thousands of hiking trails, including the Bruce Trail.
Lake Superior
Lake Superior, located to the north of Lake Huron, is the largest of the Great Lakes. And boasts some of the most dramatic scenery in the region. With its rugged coastline, towering cliffs, and crystal-clear waters, Lake Superior offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, paddling, and exploring. Popular spots include the Pukaskwa National Park and the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park.
Central Ontario
Central Ontario, meanwhile, is a vast wilderness area that encompasses a range of natural landscapes. From dense forests and rolling hills to sparkling lakes and winding rivers. Popular activities in this region include hiking, fishing, and canoeing, with highlights including Algonquin Provincial Park and the Haliburton Highlands.
